Samsung Galaxy S4 is launched with IR blasters and we can control most of the TVs, D.T.H set top box and A.Cs around the world. Remote is powered by preinstalled WatchOn app and it's a intelligent app that can change the way you use remote. Also we can personalize channels based on your interest.
How to set up WatchOn app
Open WatchOn app and log basic details such as country,region etc. Also you have to select the kind of shows you like. If you are not interested in personalizing, just skip those questions.
Pair your phone with TV
Since different TV models of same brand comes with different IR signals, we need to test the phone with different signals codes. First, tap the remote icon at right top corner and turn off your TV. Then select your TV brand in WatchOn and they will provide different signal codes. Just try switch on TV with power button and tap 'yes,this code works' when TV turns on. Now you have paired your TV with phone. In similiar steps, you can set up remote for DVD player, A.C, D.T.H settop box etc.
