Most of the laptops start to show some complaints after one year usage. Since I am an Engineer and my job demands a laptop I owns one. Similarly my colleagues also have laptops of different brands. But I observed one thing common in everyone’s laptop. That is component failure after one year usage. Some one lost hard disk, some one lost mother board and like so. Here I am going to help you with 5 simple tips to improve life time of your laptop.
1. Avoid dust.
Dust is the worst enemy of any electronic component. Dust may insulate the device and it cause over heating. Also dust is powerful to attract moisture to electronic components which may cause arcing and carbonizing. So try to avoid use of laptop at dusty area.
2. Keep your laptop cool.
Even short period of prolonged heat can harm electronic components. So, never block air passage of your laptop. Also take care to not use laptop on bed and keep it away from direct sunlight and other heat sources.
3. Do not shake.
Laptops are supposed to be movable and portable, but not in ‘on’ condition. Hard drives are not permitted to vibrate when it is on. So don’t move or shake laptops during its use.
4. Proper power source.
Don’t plug laptop in ungrounded power socket. It will lead to flow leakage current in electronic components and damage the same. So don’t use two pin plug or ungrounded power socket.
5. Keep away from children.
It is always safe to keep children away from costly equipments. It is applicable to laptop also.
